Technical Committee Announces Key Dates for Nationwide Constitutional Amendment Consultations

The Technical Committee on Amendments to the Constitution of Zambia, 2025 has released the schedule for nationwide consultations across all provinces. The committee will engage with citizens, traditional leaders, and stakeholders through public and virtual sittings to receive submissions on proposed constitutional amendments.

1. Monday 27th October, 2025 — CENTRAL, NORTH-WESTERN, NORTHERN, WESTERN AND EASTERN PROVINCES

How to Participate

Citizens across all provinces are encouraged to:

• Attend public sittings in their respective provinces
• Participate in virtual sittings on designated dates
• Submit written submissions to the Technical Committee
• Engage constructively in the constitutional amendment process

The consultations will provide opportunities for all Zambians to contribute their views on key constitutional provisions relating to electoral systems, governance structures, representation, and other critical areas outlined in the Terms of Reference.
